#6. Tackle one of the Lake District's famous ridge walks - Striding Edge or Sharp Edge

Striding Edge, Helvellyn, walk, hike, route, Patterdale, Glenridding, Ullswater, Lake District
Striding Edge en-route to Helvellyn is one of the Lakes most popular ridge walks and every serious hiker to the Lake District should give it a go. It may look precarious from a distance but it looks worse than it actually is once you are on Striding Edge and is quite safe. In good weather you'll need no specialist equipment other than good walking boots and may have to use your hands a few times. There are multiple paths you can take on Striding Edge, either right on the ridge top or less exposed paths to the side. It certainly offers something a bit different to your usual walk up a hill and is a good sense of achievement once you have completed it. I've created a dedicated blog post for advice on the best walking route to take, check out this Helvellyn walk via Striding Edge

#7. GoApe at Grizedale or Whinlatter Forest

#10. Climb Scafell Pike - England's Highest Mountain

Scafell Pike walk routes height climbing corridor route, the best route up, Seathwaite, Elevation, Hotels, Campsites Lake District

Last but not least, anyone in search of adventure in the Lake District will want to walk to the top of England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike! On a clear day the views are magnificent. There are quite a few walking routes up to Scafell Pike (the most popular from Wasdale) - but the route from Seathwaite via the Corridor Route is the best in my humble opinion. You may well only ever climb Scafell Pike once in your life, so make sure you choose the best route - and I've created this blog post to show you the route I prefer: The best Scafell Pike walk via the Corridor Route from Seathwaite

And that wraps this blog post up! I hope it's inspired you to try out something a bit different in the Lake District! Let me know what you get up to and if you can recommend any other similar Outdoor Activities
