Alnmouth walk on the beautiful Northumberland coast

Alnmouth from St.Cutherberts Cross - what a view!

Alnmouth in Northumberland

Alnmouth is a lovely little coastal village on the Northumberland coast about 3 miles from Alnwick. It's worth a visit in itself to have a little wander around and the beaches are superb. Below is a walk idea if you want to stretch those legs!

Walk distance: 5.5 miles
Walk time: 2 hours
Walk difficulty: Easy

Alnmouth Walk from Warkworth Map

This walk starts from Warkworth and follows the Northumberland Coast Path along to St. Cutherberts cross for stunning vies of Alnmouth. From there you head along the road for a short while until you reach Alnmouth itself. You can then catch the bus back to Warkworth.

If you don't have a Phone Map App - I really recommend the one by Ordnance Survey. You can download route maps to your phone such as this one and the app will show you exactly where you are on the route even when you have no signal - so no more taking a wrong turn :-)
