There are lots of tents out there suitable for wild camping, but here I have selected them down to the 5 best options which cover a range of budgets 

#1. Hilleberg - Soulo Tent

The Hilleberg Soulo is the ultimate 4 season free-standing tent, but it's a bit pricey

#2. Wild Country - Helm 2 Compact Tent

The Helm 2 Compact by Wild Country is the tent that I recommend most to others, especially those who are just beginning to get into Wild camping and only want a 3 season tent.

#3. MSR - Hubba Hubba NX2

The MSR Hubba Hubba NX 2 is a popular choice and can be used with just the fly sheet in warmer climates

#4. LanShan 1/2

The LanShan tent is a popular choice amongst backpackers as it is Ultralight. It achieves this partly due to the fact you use your trekking poles to prop it up!

#5. Vango - Nevis 100/200

I've got a soft spot for the Vango Nevis 100 as it was my first tent purchase for a wild camp. It's at the budget end and well worth the money - but you will soon grow out of it if you do lots of wild camps and spend multiple nights campijng in different conditions

The Helm 2 Compact by Wild Country is the one I use the most and the tent that I recommend most often to others, especially those who are just beginning to get into Wild Camping and only want a 3 season tent.
